To really move into our purpose and potential we’ve got to release the beliefs that are holding us back. It’s time to let go of the I’m-not-good-enough-and-I-have-bad-hair- so-I-might-as-well-just-go-back-to-bed thoughts that we’ve become accustomed to hearing or thinking. It’s time to clear out parts of that old program – like cleaning out a hard drive – and open up room for more positive programs to run.
There are lots of “clearing” techniques – ways to wheedle into the caverns of your belief system – that help you release the limiting beliefs on a cellular level.
EFT, Emotional Freedom Technique pioneered by Gary Craig is one of those techniques. It looks a little funny, seems a little simplistic, and is weirdly effective.
EFT is all about clearing energy blocks in the body, much like acupuncture without the needles. You tap with your fingers on various meridians or energy centers while focusing on the stress, pain, challenge, thought pattern you want to clear and waa-laa.
I’ve done this. I’ve been amazed. I’ve been freaked. I’ve been grateful. I’ve disbelieved the results. I’ve done it again. I’m still doing it. It’s helped me manage worry. I’ve used it to ease pain, boost energy, and to stop stressing over the garbage man who routinely tips our can over in the MIDDLE of our driveway.
